The Handsworth Somali Association has been operating a sports project for Somali boys aged 18 and under for the past two years. The centre is overseen by two coaches who are always professional, punctual, well-prepared, and personable. In a recent decision, the management committee has chosen to establish a boy’s football league and a women’s basketball club on a weekly basis. Young people of all ages and abilities in the community will benefit from sports, wellbeing, and life skills programs delivered by the project. We strive to guide young people towards success by providing them with the resources and abilities to achieve their aspirations and change their destiny. The children and staff have given positive feedback about each of the coaches, who are integral members of our team.
